A black/charcoal granite. Very dark and plain. Used as a statement mainly in planting areas for that dark background to make features or plants stand out. Contrast is the main feature of the granite to highlight other gravels or products. Also known as Black Basalt or Black Granite. Best layed 3-4cm deep. The actual size ranges between 8-12mm. When first supplied the gravel will appear grey as dust on the chippings masks the stone colour. It will weather to a nice dark grey/black colour in time.
